Chaco Canyon

Chaco, of course carries a lot of archeological theories. I'm not going to bore with you with them, you can actually read them online if you really wanna know more about it. There's stories in the English way and the Navajo way. And I guess, based on where you are from.. you hear different stories of people of back then. My dad told me a version, but what interests me the most is their work and how their physical conditions were. Let's just say.. it's like a small Ford Ranger, to a Hemi Dodge Dually.. We're the small Ford Ranger.. they're the bigger stacks.. I guess, I just got to thinkin' about when dad use to tell me stories when I was a kid.

So, let's go back to the family event here. O Hubby went in to pay the due.. we got in for free, because.. the obvious.. I'm Navajo. Still he donated and bought a few things to make it feel fair on both ends. And off we went to the first site.. on the way we could see one in the wash area.. you had to look good to see it, or it's just not visible.

Since the site was so close to the canyon you could hear the crows flapping their wings like they were just right there.. yeah, they were loud.

On we moved to the next site.. it's nicely still intact.. but the whining and yelping coyotes scared our little Grannyson.. he wasn't buying into my stories so we left. ~snicker snicker snort snort~
