Febraury 03, 2009

Last night, for heck-sake of boredom, I went to youtube.. and browsed the Mustangs. I had evil-doing thoughts. I remembered what happened the last race... hmm.. My Pony got parked at home, and I just got her back. I got a talking to about my car being sold and having one of these instead ---> UGH!! Have you read about them?? They are SOO not happening!!Therefore, I watched all Derek Miller videos.. ~sigh~ Then, I remembered.. the lens for my camera. I searched and found a helpful site for us Canon Digital folks.. http://dslrtips.com/%20II read about using slow shutter speeds.. and watch a couple of videos.. This morning I thought I would give it a shot on our way to Grandson's school. Here it is:

At 1/30 Blank.. a notch up Blank.. At 1/75 is the top, 1/125 is the bottom.. You noticed the top looks like it's foggy out? That's because the power plant is just above the river, as you can see it on the bottom..

On the top is at 1/640, and the bottom is at 1/1600. These pictures are not just about focusing. Check out the river and the lighting, they vary at comparable speeds capturing different appeal. Since I was pratically standing in traffic I just quickly turned the knob.. there were no particular speeds I aimed for.

On the top here, is the regular Landscape Mode. The bottom is an abandoned plant I've always wanted to photograph.
