February 16, 2009

Wow! What a week-end.
Hubby gave me this card the night before Valentine's Day. No, it's not what you're thinking. Inside, the wife gets to keep all the blankets... leaving o hubby in the cold. I love our sheets.. You could sleep in them all day long.. so soft and tightly put together..

O'Sweety gave me "A Rose for A special person".. You might think, A Rose? Just one rose?? WTH??? But there's a story behind that. He use to buy me exotic flowers or roses for every year we were together.

Here's statues I really like in Durango. It's three baby horses. When I was young I use to wish I could lay in the pastures with them. All horses No people..

Grandpa took us to the Choc. Factory.. Oh, the aroma is like YUMMM.. I don't exactly remember where it all started.. But as long as I remember, Sweety and I come here every Valentine's Day, or my birthday and pick however many chocolates I want.. in whatever container... There was a guy at the factory from New York, and Sweety yapped up a storm with him. It was good to see him open up and talk and laugh with someone from his hometown.

After we were out browsing the stores on Main Street we all got hungry, and we decided on looking for a good place to dine serving Itallian. Itallian cuisine with hot french bread sure sounded good, so good I could taste it. Unfortunately.. in mid-afternoon, most places were only serving appetizer and drinks.. Now, I just can't imagine serving Grandson this kinda stuff.. We had to settle for Mexican Restuarant. It's alright, not so flattering though.

Normally, we went to a place called "Mama's Boy", ah I kid you NOT, the food is absolutely fantastic. Mmm MMm, yeah, it's that good. I don't care about the cost.. it's so good..

I had both of my best boys in the whole world with me on this special day. I gave them extra love, and hugs.

When my mom and I just first moved to Durango in the early 80's, this place was the only 'mall' in Durango. I use to sit on this bench and watch the water flow through the fountain endlessly. Spent a lot of hours just sitting there and think of where I've been and the people I met in my life.

Well, that's it for Durango. Aside from buying a few supplies needed in our kitchen we went home. On the way home, we had a family of deer cross our path on the road. Grandson said "There's Grandpa Deer, Grandma Deer, and Grandson Deer."

Yesterday, Grandson's mama came for him. It was his sister's birthday. Hubby took me to get a haircut.. Yeah, again it's short, for awhile it was getting long below my shoulders.. now, it's shoulder length.

Sometime ago, I got a little upset when I couldn't find my Derek Miller Video. I asked hubby if he saw it, or gave it the toss like I knew he would. He said 'No, it must be in your room or somewhere by the tv'. Hmmm, I thought and raised my eyebrows at him.. well,yesterday.. I found it. I was laying upside down.. and I just happened to browse under my tv stand.. I opened the case, and there it was. Whew, I thought.. I thought it was a goner. I told o hubby the story behind Derek Miller. The truth. And with that being that, I think we're all good on this.

I'm watching a.. african-american segregation..movie now.. after this I gotta clean the house, and get Grandson ready for his first practice. Growing up so fast..
