February 27, 2009

Last night after practice and dinner. We went to work ( Sometimes I get bored being by myself, so I asked O hubby if I could go to work with him. Of course, he said 'Yes').

The car we were after has been missing for seven months, and Sweety thinks he found them.. right there in town. We scoped them out and went home to find the account and the 'key'. After digging around in his 'junk' (I call it junk because he's stuff is so unorganized) we finally went back out again.

I went back out first, I scoped out the area and waited for Hubby at the nearest parking lot. Since he has the tow truck, sometimes it's just better to take the vehicle.. Hopefully it runs. After he met me, we gave each other the run downs of the plan and went for it. I got out my gloves and the necessities, then I sat there and waited for anything to go wrong.

Our first problem, an paranoid inebriated bum. Now O'Hubby is dressed all in black, most of the time. He looks like the above picture. I don't know why, but he says it's comfortable and 'useful' clothing. OK, so the paranoid man was flipping.

Now, when I first saw him, I thought. I know what he's thinking. He stiffened up when Sweetie was getting close to him. I knew he was drunk very apparent to the naughty eyes. He mosied over a few feet to let Sweetie go by, and turned to make sure Hubby kept on walking. Hubby, on the other hand, has one thing in mind... the car. He doesn't have to worry about anything else, because he knows I can back him up. The bum walks past him and looks back a few more times. I'm watching the dummy and the neighborhood, I see he's about to act up. I move the truck forward, I know he saw me.. he was freaking out I was in the truck, so he yells. I was like... 'GREAT, the DA is flipping!' The neighbors opens the door and asks the man "What's up?".. I don't know what he said, I just saw Hubby wheel the car out of the yard. I looked at their house to see if anything is happening.. NOTHING. And I followed Sweetie calmly to the parking lot.

We went back to the truck and loaded the car and headed over to the next location. Those subjects are still MIA. It's always just a matter of time, before they pop up.

Today, knowing O Grannyson wasn't feeling well, I started my chores and leisurely goofed off. I started to finish my weed burning, but it's windy out today. Yesterday, O hubby wanted to do something (can't remember) so I told him to put out the fire first then I'll go with ya. So, that's what he's doing for me. Putting out the fire.
