Day out with Grandson

This scenery is my favorite. WE call it the "S" Curve. It's beautiful to me. I wonder what it will look like in the next 1000 years.. designed by the wind.

This morning my husband fed all the animals and Grandson. He was worried about my headache and my nasty condition from yesterday. I have no idea what it was, but I sure had a hecka headache. Before he left he gave me a gentle hug and a kiss on the forehead. Now, where can you get a wonderful husband than that???

I had been wanting to take o Grandson to the kiddie museum since he was a itty bitty guy, but today I thought we would go. Grandpa gave us the money and enough for snacks and a meal. There ain't nothing stopping us but me and my procastination.

When we got there I was amazed how it was full of learning activities inside the little building. Speaking of which I would like to leave a comment on their site. And, of course, they sell neat little stuff regarding the main 'topic' with is the dinosaurs. I wonder what the next theme will be after the dinos leave.. we will just have to wait and see, don't we?

Well, we went in there and we were just in time for the planetarium to start. Again it was about the evolutions of the dinos. I let Grandson lay down with the other kids while I sat on the chair. In the middle of the show, I notice all the parents were also laying on the floor with their children. I would do that, but knowing me.. I would fall asleep and start snoring.. The movie was great and entertaining for that young age.. it was nice.

I read to Grandson about the dino's as we walked to each display and let him feel things, like eggs and fossils.

Although the whole entertainment of being there, I took Grandson to the other half of the museum so he could 'run off' some of the pent up energy. It's a room for toddlers to get them a bit more coordinated and just have fun, and this was the room for it. I sat in the 'Parent' area for awhile, a long while. I sat there and played with my camera... then I saw him yawning.. I told O'Grandson to let's get the heck outta dodge!!

Our next location was the Skating Park. If Grandpa was with us, he woulda said.. 'I DON'T THINK SO'.. My first observation was a drug deal happening right there in the parking lot, and some kids obviously high.. Some of them kept looking at me.. O they be paranoid.. I dismissed the little freaks and went about my business. Having a camera got them more leery of me.. It really wasn't that bad.. Afterall, the park was right across from the High School, and the family park is right adjacent to this Skating Park.

At first, I just sat there watched Grandson sit and ride his skateboard here and there. And run after the getaways and return them to their owners. He seemed to have a lot of fun being in the 'Big Boy' department. The kids didn't bother him or demostrated they didn't want him there. They were alright with it. He was walking by my side when all of the sudden he went KA POOF!! I was like, HUH? He fell while walking.. Crazee..

After he went and felt all of the 'tricky' stuff there is for the skaters, I thought I would teach him how to balance on the skateboard and let him ride. He did great, after a few times he was on his own. The only thing he needs to do next is push himself and get on the board. He rode it by squatting, sitting, and standing..

After all this, we ate at McD's and went home.. Yay chores..ump!
