Yesterday we thought we would wind down some with a bit of an activity so we went to Bollack Museum. They ~you wouldn't know by glancing in that direction~ have gazillion of stuff to look at.. I mean, literally ALOT. O, it was fun and I learned a lot from the tour guide, she was awesum!
This morning I went to Meet/Greet/Observe teachers for my Grandson. I always want someone with a different effective technique teaching curriculum. I am all for it when it comes to my baby's learning. Of all the three teacher's I have selected I want the Spanish class for him. They work in about five students per table, and they rotate.. of course there's two teachers per class. I was impressed.
Ya see, when you grow up in a alcoholic home.. that's all you know.. Beatings, Drinking, Beatings, Yelling, Violence again.. and some more drinking.. and you get to see infidelities. I shoot towards the other way.. I don't want my Grandson to see these in his life, I want him to learn and know he can do it. And I don't want the same old boring teachings, where you have to shackle him to his desk. I want him to know, there is a lot to learn and there is no one way about it. Door's Open to Knowledge.
Ah during my visits, I learned my Grandson's wrestling 'pal' is in Kindergartner, he is almost six. This is the kid that tosses my baby around and scratched his face.. older eh? What else do I NOT know about this kid? I thought he was Pre-K, and four years old too. Ah huh, I thought. I called O hubby and told him... this little shit is almost six and is in Kindergartner.. How dare he tosses my baby around, damn bully! We'll see how they 'play' together today at practice. Yes, it can be hard to sit there and watch your little get roughed up and really can't do anything about it but let them sort it out, unless they are really killing each other.
I had to take a breather... I get a little fumed... Hmph!
Hubby should be somewhere toward Alamosa CO by now.. he said he would call once he passed the creek but I haven't heard from him, prolly no service. Yah, no service.. drats. I always worry about him when he goes on long trips by himself.
