Hubby took me to PRCA, ooh it was so awesum! I had so much fun there, I forgot about everything there is to think of. Really nothing. LOL .. love the eyes?? I didn't feel like playing with the photoshop.
Team Ropers.. only New Mexico team got it!! I was upset when the Navajos missed it. I don't know if the steers were more to blame.. they'd run out, but died out a step or two. Sucks when that happens, because you and your pardner (the horse), you're dying to charge outta there. You and your pardner are sharing the same high energy--your horse's ears flickering, head held high, nostrils flaring-- and you-- got your rope ready in one hand, scooting just right on that saddle with the other hand on the horn along with the end of the rope and the reins.. the muscles in your legs are shifting just right.. your mind is on the header, then...--, your header gives the nod and BAM! You're gone as soon as that rope snaps.. then it happens.. the steer quits right then and there.. The header is already off beat..
Bareback and Broncs were cool.. I liked one. After the minutes.. he tipped his hat to the crowd. I laughed. One of the bareback riders is our ol'farrier, I didn't think he was around.. it's been awhile, and it was good to see him follow his dream. He was the local man in the circuit, and now he's standing in PRCA..
Calf Roper.. is from Roy, UT. Hubby and I, we elbowed each other and smiled. That's him in the picture.
Barrel horse.. 17.0 something.. yes, she woulda beat my girl. She ran 17 something.. Hubby told me, I should go back into it. I guess, he saw what I'm missing.
Ahhh... 84 pointer, tied up with another one on Friday night.. best dang Bullrider.. it was the show..
Ty Waybourn.. his bronc came out of the shoot like he had a rider.. really. Ty was only 16 years old, a promising cowboy of his time. He was hit by another teenager one night.. she had been drinking.. killed him. We all had tears in our eyes.. he was ~not exaggerating~ a wonderful young man.
Yeah, we went.. it was totally ~I don't give a rip~ bitchin'!!
