Lazy Sunday

I have to say I love days like this. Right now, everyone is at ease and slobbing on their pillows. Stretching and loving the feel of the cool soft sheets, or comforter.

Personally, I sleep in shorts and tank tops.. I like the ability to move about without being tangled. I don't like gowns.. it's the same as dresses, and I hate dresses. Ok, let's not ruin the mood now.

I would be napping right along right now, but O'Doggie decided he wanted to be heard and had actions taken immediately. So I granted his mercy of negligence issue and brought him back in the house. I scolded him and asked him why can't he be lenient today? He doesn't want any type of negotiation and warn I will be reprimanded shall I not attend to his outcry for Mercy. Very well, and now he too, is snoring on his bed.

This morning we slept in until around 10am, and felt refreshed. We watched October Sky before we went to town and had brunch at one of the hotels. O, it was lovely. I enjoyed the settings, and the cooks. Food was delicious. Since I've become a big fan of Green Chili's.. I mega'd that on my plate. I don't know what it is about that, but dang.. it's good with everything. Scoot over hot sauce. I think I am maturing in a physical sense. Why? I hate to say, but I am starting to love raw onions (YUCK!!), and want to cook tortillas. Navajo Tortillas.. beginning to like steaks and meat.. good kinda meat.. not any as long as I only get a bit of it, but I want to savior the taste and enjoy it! Aside from eating, I am beginning to care about my appearance. OMG, I even start liking high heels.. OK, so I maybe just a LATE BLOOMER. But please slow the heck down, I'm freaking out!!

I know, food is one of my big things in life.. well heck, you gotta eat sometime during the day.. Everyday for that matter, might as well eat good! My first choice of food prepared by.. is my husband. O! He can cook.. YES! He can cook. I love it!! I have not found a restaurant in this town that can cook as good as he.. NONE!

My favorite dish made by him is (I sat here and thought about it for awhile and try to pick just one) Pot Roast. He puts all kinds of fixings on it (the aroma...dying in patience), and the side dishes are just as great. I have to say I love holidays, diet, and sick days. That's when the best prepared food sits on the table to entice my appetite. I know holidays are usually Turkey and usual fixings, but ~bleahh~ it starts to get boring. U no, I have to say.. one of the best plates he made was Duck.. oh that was tremendously succulent ideal meal.. YUM! Ok, enough of this food crap.. I'm getting hungry.

Well, after brunch we were talking about going to Shiprock to visit with mom, but I decided it probably wasn't a good idea. I just don't have a good feeling about what's going on down there. And really I am not about to find out. Mom made the choice to be cared by them, let them care for her for once in their lifetime. If she really wanted me to come visit with her, then she can call me. Sounds cold, but I just think they can do it themselves this time. Can you believe it's finally taken 40 years for me to say... Let them take care of it? Thank you very much.

O Sweety says "I don't feel like driving to Cudei...." I says "No Problem. Whatcha wanna do?" He says "Grab a movie and enjoy the day." Sounds good to me. After renting the movie "DOUBT", he noticed my eyelids were sagging badly.. he said something, and I looked at him. I says "C'mon, let's take a nap." Ahh.. I laid down beside O'Hubby and started to drift into my lala land... I heard whine whine whine bark bark bark... Good Ol'pain in the neck is barking. And my sweetheart, he's napping now, and here I am. I know I'll be Ray of Sunshine.. yeah.. Mz.Evil (Coming Near You).

When my two sweeties wakes up in a couple of hours, I know we're going back into town for Ice Cream. I'm getting my Banana Split. I haven't had that since summer. It's just a nice family drive we have while we have our ice cream. Gives us time to enjoy being together as a family with no agendas. Music is usually on oldies, or even NO music or radio. Just to hear everyone interact is a pleasure. Even Grandson has been quiet opinionated about certain things, and we listen.

--Well, I think my napping spells are coming back, so ttyl.
