Yesterday we left right after Hubby was done with his meetings. I had just made me a hot cup of coffee and lounged around on the couch. I was actually watching the Bio Movie of Judy Garland, I think that was her name. The Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. Talk about the up and downs of life, mine is like that, but I don’t think it’s that dramatic.
Grandson fell asleep, he had been up early in the morning as usual. We had bought him some toys while we were out, so you know he was eager to play with his new toys. He packed his toys in a different bag and left it at home. Actually when we had returned it was sitting on his bed.
Unfortunately, with it’s foggy weather we went home earlier than planned. On the way home was a different story.. It was sun shinny.. I mean shinny.. There was no BAD weather. We laughed at it, and Hubs and I had a great time keeping each other company. We had a small spot were we ran out of things to talk about, and I asked him a question.. That was good for another hour or two. I’m telling ya, he loves to talk.
O the drive was beautiful. I left my camera in the trunk so I didn’t take any pictures. There’s plenty of time for that. So, I’m not so worried about that right picture just yet.
Did you know, McDonald’s have wifi now? Yah, I was surprised.. I turned my wireless on my phone.. And zap! Off to the net again while we waited for our dinner. After sitting in a car for so long, believe me.. You just wanna go home. I didn’t even want to eat in a restaurant. I just wanted to get home.. So fast food became an instant option… only I forgot our little one was messy so we ended up going inside anyway.. The food was YUCK!!
Hubs went to see our friend last night. O he was heartbroken when he saw her hubby, and I think it upset him deeply. He had a stroke about a month ago, and he is the kind of person that will work until the day he dies. Even just having a stroke, he was back at work. As if that isn’t’ enough, he is seriously senile, and he still drives all over the state by himself.. And I know, it’s the driving part that’s making my friend crazy. I feel for them. Hubby said he looks bad and very noticeable.. My heart aches just thinking about them. But they have kids, and they come to visit with them.
We noticed a note of desperation on our door when we returned. Hubby called the person this morning, and it was their son. Stupid, I don’t understand these rich kids.. Another well-to-do family we know.. Their son (what is it with these boys?) was caught and apprehended by the Feds. They wanted Hubs help to get him out. Well, Federal ain’t like State. They just gonna have to wait until things are arranged before they can start thinking about getting him out. Can't really do anything until Tuesday or Wednesday..
That’s what I mean by “Hubby wears a lot of hats”, and you know.. Wherever we go, he is going to be doing that. I should be like him… I told him he should finish his 'law school'.. I'm sure it's old by now, he had went to a law school in his wayyy younger days, but decided to do other things in life.. instead it didn't work out that way. Years and years later... bam, there's me.. haaaaa...
Today, I planned to start getting things in order and packing. I gotta get things arranged for Grandson.. And things for us this weekend.. We like to have our own little party during Football games. We have cook outs, cake, and seafood.. Fruit/veggie stuff going on..
O, another thing when we were in Colorado. HE kept his ground about being a NY GIANTS FAN, have been since a child and always will be!! No boys out there will convince him otherwise. He heard about how some other people turn Donkey Fans.. Not this family!!
