Well, Hubby woke me this morning and said "It snowed all night." and sure enough it did. The rest of the morning was flurries.
Harmless and it was melting some by noon... after my 'rescheduled appointment' (lost my 'patience' skill and rescheduled).. we went home and feed everyone.
I told hubby I wanted to go out and take some pictures.. Of course, after an argument (I won) he said 'ok'. Mind you, I still forget and get lost.. OH WHAT FUN that can be. Luckily I have the boys and they kept me in line.
Believe it or not.. Grandson knows his way home from anywhere... and he observes wherever I go. I even quized him, how do we get home from here.. He tells me "I know, like this..." and he showed me with his hands what turns to make and how we make it home... Is that awesome, or what? Grandson ain't dumb that's for sure!
I didn't realize how long we were gone, to top it off when we got to the park I left my phone in the car. Hubbs was quite upset and worried. I feel it, and I am sorry I had him worried. But the boys had fun playing in the snow, especially for Grandson. The boys chased each other around with snowball fights, slid around, and just do a lot of those 'boy' things. I moseyed about with my business, and kept an eye on them.
I got to test out how much I have improved my endurance in this long hike... I think it was less than two miles, but that is a heck of a way from zero to one feet of walking without assistance. Heck, it only took me a month to make it. it's been about nine hours now since the walk, and I am just now getting sore in my legs and hip. That's good.. I just keep working at it, and I will be myself again.
We went to another Light Show tonight. It was nice, but not as great as it was a couple of years ago. This time, they were shutting it down due to weather. Can you believe it?? Just because it snowed and the traffic was HORRIBLE, they decided to shut down earlier than usual. Hubs told them we wouldn't get stuck and told them this was our only chance.. they let us go in. In that whole park, we were the only ones...and of course, I forgot my camera and my phone again..
The traffic from Farmington to Aztec was horrible.. a lot of cars went off the road.. What are they going to do if they lived in a mountain area???? O my goodness!! I couldn't believe it! OH! But wait!! Didn't I have the same problem with my little grey pony??? YEP, I sure did!! Oh, that's just great... So, yah.. the roads quickly became icy and a lot of small economical vehicles... couldn't make it.
